Skillfully women tale of second chances.

Nearly being run over isn’t the greatest start for Rebecca Cole on her first day as a teacher at Wyncliffe High School. But then Rebecca’s life hasn’t been too great lately, so it comes as no surprise that the man responsible is the father of one of her new pupils. Not just any father, a seemingly arrogant one with a lot to learn, she can’t help feeling dawn to. Then there’s Nick who seems the far nicer guy. And the fact that really, she’s not looking for romantic involvement following a break up with her fiancé, although romantic involvement is clearly looking for her.
Which man will it be?
Rebecca is a very likeable, nicely drawn, character, balancing work and play, and Elaine Jeremiah skilfully weaves into the mix, emotional breakdown in an off-screen character, as well as the romance, all with a lightness of touch and humour. I look forward to reading more by her,
