Slightly disappointing after all the glowing reviews from other readers, although an interesting premise for a novel.
Firstly, it's not a complete story - to know what happens to the main character you will need to buy the second installment. I can understand why, but I do find it galling when authors do this. It would be more honest to charge £3.00 for the full story and not leave readers on a cliff edge. I won't be reading the second installment.
Secondly, despite the interesting premise for the story his interventions, aimed at preventing the events which went on to make his life such an abject failure, are all rather feeble and unlikely (I would say more, but it would spoil the surprise).
Finally, to me it reads like a YA novel but the target audience seem to be people who remember 1986 (perhaps particularly teenagers at that time).
It's not great, or good, but it is okay and only a pound so you might want to give it a go.
