If you can get these in your size, they are worth getting
22 December 2017
After falling foul to a patch of black ice, I decided to invest in a proper pair of boots for the good old Scottish winter. I found these, and they seemed to have good grips.
Upon arriving, I discovered and warm and cosy the faux fur inside the boots made my feet feel. This is ideal, when you have to stand at bus stops until a bus decides it's going to turn up. Unfortunately, the ice has now gone, so I haven't been able to properly test the grip on these.
I have two minor quibbles with these boots. I had to order them twice, as I originally got a size 4, instead of the size 3 that I had ordered. The second time, a size 4 also arrived, so I've been refunded for these, as it does not appear that I'm allowed to get these in a size 3. I am sticking with them in a bigger size, until I can find an alternative pair.
My other quibble would be I do not feel the laces are strong enough, to properly tie these. I do tie my laces quite tight, and with the tongue on these, I do find that I'm having to stretch the laces in order to get them tied to sufficient tightness. I reckon these laces will snap before too long, so I'm going to get a more robust pair of laces.
I would definitely recommend these if you suffer from cold feet by the time you arrive at your work, or you want something sturdy for hill walking etc. And hopefully you receive your correct size.
