Not suitable for audiobooks and failed altogether after a short time.
on 30 January 2017
My first issue with the device was that it would not take MP4 files, so I couldn't copy over my audiobooks. I was happy enough to listen to podcasts in MP3 format while I swam.
If you are listening to spoken word files, the simple controls are a limitation. I couldn't choose the file I wanted to listen to, I just had to make sure the files were in the right order when I copied them and the device would play them in that order from first to last. It did pick up where I stopped, so I got the continuity.
I had to buy a swimming cap to keep the earphones in, but it also gave me somewhere to secure the device as I didn't like the wires hanging down when I used the armband or clipped it to my suit.
My main disappointment with this device and the reason I would not recommend it at all is that after only a few months, and less than 25 hours of use, it just stopped working. I cannot recharge it, communicate with it by PC or listen to it. Very disappointing.
The merchant, Linkmart, has not been very helpful about giving a refund. They sent me several e-mails asking me to check a list of technical details and then didn't reply to my answers. I'm still waiting for a refund and may have to enlist the help of my credit card company. Amazon hasn't stepped in either to help.
