I thoroughly enjoyed this book, loads of twists and turns by both humans and animals. Beth's solution to her homelessness after being dumped by her worthless husband made me smile, I could really relate to her sleeping in absent pet owners houses, keeping the curtains closed, not making any noise, at least she didn't have to sleep in her car although that might have been better than the bath tub. Yes the outcome was predictable but the getting there was a great journey. Thanks April.
This is the second book I have read by April Hardy and I think it is even better. Beth, the heroine, is a really likeable girl and some of the descriptions of the pets she looks after are absolutely wonderful. I had a cat who was very like the main cat (Talisker) and I could really relate to both Beth and the cat. I can most definitely recommend this book.
Brought this at Aprils book launch its a lovely summer read April puts her refreshing humour and take on life into her writing. I loved Beth's view on her situation. With characters like Stinky Steve to keep you amused and Henry to fall in love with Sitting Pretty is an exceedingly good read. I believe this is the first of three book by April Hardy and I look forward to reading the others.
This was such a cute story. I do like a good chick flick however I am really quite picky. I read the review for this and it tickled me. Whilst reading this novel I really felt engaged and cared about what happened. Surprisingly I thought I knew how it would pan out but a few little moments along the way really got me going. The husband was awful and the hero just as he should be. A lovely curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine read. Totally relaxed and that is so important. Enjoy xxx
this book by april hardy i thought was fast paced. the chapters were short and it was easy to read too. its my first book by april and will certainly read more books by her. would recommend this book. i really enjoyed it.
From dog poop to Dior and Southampton to Dubai this gentle roller coaster takes you on a gentle stroll through mistakes and misditection to the usual frothy chic lit conclusions. A lovely read for a cold night.
