Simple to set up

This item is very easy to work and set up takes literally seconds. Great item if you have an item that still uses scart cable but your modern tv doesnt have scart fittings. Just remember to but an HDMI cable as well.

Happy now but initially frustrated

I wished to connect an older DVD and video player to my new Smart TV. The SCART to HDMI connector works well but there was no indication on purchase that in order to operate this one needs both an HDMI to HDMI lead to plug into the TV as well as a 12V power supply via a mains plug. I had to order these separately and the delay took 2 weeks. It is essential that purchasers are warned of the need for both these additional items. Everything now works beautifully.

My new TV did not support Scart, so the Kuyia Scart/HDMI converter meant I could connect my old but reliable DVD player, a real plug and play device, excellent picture and sound quality. Unreservedly recommend, a five star buy.

Fitted to Mum's older dvd player so it fit her new tv. Only buy this, there are no scart to HDMI cables so you have to buy this box.

Used this to connect VHS player to Flatscreen HD 4k TV. Works fine, picture quality from VHS is quite acceptable but obvs not to current tv standards, although probs as good as original on analogue TV. Good buy.

Excellent item, the only major problems was that it required a 5V DC supply, This is NOT mentioned in the writeup. Although a USB power cable is supplied, the odds of having a USB point near the installation point is remote.
