I think Leanne has just simply nailed it here. An easy to follow and understand methodology that even I am motivated to follow. That's saying something. She has managed to capture the aim of the book perfectly in the title and if (like me), you have emerged bleary-eyed into 2016, this is a must read. Once I'm through this first week of the new year, I will be a real life test of Leanne's approach. Watch this space but get this book into your life whilst you are watching !! Mike
I really appreciated this book. A really well structured approach to stress, burn out but importantly getting health back on the agenda. I am a very busy person and I can tend to put health on the back burner. I liked Lee's story as well.
This is a book that I think a lot of people will have been waiting for. Leanne talks from personal experience, and as a trained personal trainer who has helped many high-level professionals recover from and prevent burnout when trying to keep the balance between work and good mental and physical health. I think by following the advice Leanne gives, this book will have such positive benefits for many people, and remind them that they are not alone when feeling the effects of burnout.
This book is a really good read & not just applicable for City workers... those working in busy academia / health job roles would benefit enormously from reading this book. There are a number of take home messages that make you stop & check your working practices and allow you to reconsider your approaches. Colleagues have already nabbed this from my desk at work & run off with it to read!! Really great read.
