Top critical review
Poorly written plus bad grammar, stuffed with typos and production errors
5 June 2018
Why the hell has this rubbish book got so many five star reviews? It begins to make me really doubt the validity of Amazon reviews. It is literally the most poorly written book I have ever read. The author may well have all the right background knowledge but he would have been advised to have used someone who can actually write to produce the book for him. Plus he should have used a proof-reader to avoid repeating whole sections, repeating whole sections, repeating whole sections, repeating (you get the idea)!
Plot-wise, so many badly drawn characters made it very heavy going to follow - a new character seemed to be introduced on almost every page. And the poor grammar all over the place makes for irritating reading - eg it's a police INquiry not a police ENquiry!
And worst of all - and this is what makes me really suspicious of all these 4 and 5 star reviews, is that there is a MASSIVE TYPO on pages 371 and 377. On page 371 a section starts "Carver glanced at The Duke next to him. His gaze was rooted to the bed, more especially, the body arranged on top of it... " And then on page 377 starting with "Carver glanced at The Duke next to him. His gaze was rooted to the bed, more especially, the body arranged on top of it... " LOADS of paragraphs are REPEATED! It was at this point that I threw the book down in disgust, realising that I had literally wasted 6 hours or so of my life reading it!
I am even considering asking for my money back.
