Bought this second hand after reading fat girls guide to running a marathon. Just as expected I loved it . All of Julie’s book shout to me and feel as if they’re written for women like me that need that nudge to live life our way
Really enjoyed this book, loved the tasks and lots within it really resonated with me. I know I'll go back to it, in fact I'm thinking of buying a paper copy so I can make notes in margins. Well done Julie!!!
I m loving the content of this book, it is humorous whilst thought provoking, and a totally positive take against the shaming diet industry. However there are so many missed words, words in wrong order, or where a spell check has probably altered to the wrong meaning, it's distracting. I love Julie and Too Fat To Run and just hope if there's a reprint, it gets a proof read first
I have never ever read a book that has been as inspirational as this, it covered every thought, hope and fears I had ever had about getting fit and running. Its like it was written just for me. Highly recommended 10/10
What a sensible approach. After following Julie on her blog for many months, I decided to read the book, I'm so glad that I did. Julie discusses her running journey and talks about many things that I as a larger plodder have felt or experienced myself. Can't wait to put her tips into action.
Julie is articulate, down to earth and talks a lot of sense! It is a motivational read and will help you approach your day to day with a different mind set! If you battle with your weight as I have for years it is an essential read!
Amazing book, full of brilliant practical ideas. Really focuses on improving health and happiness, rather than 'you must lose weight to be happy'. And you don't have to wait until the New Year - you can start right now!
I bought this book just before January this year and started it straight away, plus I started journaling from the first day too. I can't recommend it highly enough, it's revolutionised how I feel about myself and my running. I am still journaling and refer back to certain chapters regularly. It's definitely worth reading.
