Great on the technical side but fundamental side puzzling
16 April 2012
Starts off with all the classic beginners mistakes we all make early on in our trading careers with a good smack of de ja vu, was like reading my own story e.g. buying on a hunch, tips off tom dick n harrys, following director deals, subscribing to naff tipping services etc.
Then goes on to develop his own combined 'techno-fundamental' strategy.
The technical strategy (very good) - topside range breakout, tight trailing stop losses and graduated entry/exits with low volume 'pilot buys', BUT no mention of what trading timescales he used with his darvas boxes.
The fundamental strategy (which makes no sense) he developed left me puzzled as he used - volume spikes, recommendations in Barrons magazine, finding his own hi-tech start up penny shares and just 'having a feeling about this one'.
There were no silver bullets here, you can look up the technical darvas box strategy free on youtube/google and there was no clear explantion of the fundamental strategy which seemed to be very confused.
Overall worth the money and you will learn more from all his mistakes.
