A good film which manages to tackle the enormous challenge of making a convincing tale of a mountain ascent. The cast is strong, there are great vistas of Everest and the film captures the mounting trepidation as the day of ascent approaches. On the climb itself, you just know that by 3pm, nobody who is not already on their way down is going to survive. If you enjoy this type of film, you might want to check out "Lost On Everest - The Search For Mallory & Irvine" and "North Face", the latter being a great film about ascent of the Eiger.

good movie about the ill fated 1996 climb takes abit to get going and could have been a bit more suspenseful. the climb should have been done abit more seems a bit rushed. quite a few stars in but no one really stands out good acting by cast worth a look at but could have been done better
