A short light read, that follows on from In the Stars. Amber is on her final test, to become a CCIA support and this is the story of that test. During the course of the 24 hour test, Amber is tested in other ways too, things that make her question herself and Charlie. This is really light and frothy, and in truth not much happens. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. There are moments of lightness and some intrigue and it did hold my interest throughout. There are a lot worse ways to spend a couple of hours.
Although though this is classed as a short story it feels a lot longer.
We follow Amber on her final test as a CCIA trainee. Taken to a country hotel, along with two other trainees, they are tasked with solving the disappearance of a bride before her wedding. But was she really taken or did she run? Is anything really as it seems? And is someone trying to help or hinder them?
So good it will make you want to join the CCIA right away.
...........................Now where do I send in my application?
I liked Amber who is sent, along with two other trainees, to a luxury hotel to solve a kidnapping. Amber is completing her course to become a support officer and this is her final test. There are several suspects, and lots of red herrings before the end, and the mix of romance, mystery and humour make an entertaining read. I was given this book in return for an unbiased review and I have done this.
