Very good clear display. Only really just learning to use. The auto stroke seems only to register fairway shots and you have to enter puts manually. Strap is very comfortable and had good adjustment. Very good internet connection, but not sure once you have uploaded a round of golf you can delete or edit. However, you can see your fairway shots on the course you have played. Once a round of golf complete you can check how far you walked and calories burned. I have tried to find out from Voice Caddie about rounds deleted or edited from Internet, but no information yet given to me.
I bought this watch to replace my Sky Caddie SG5. After having a good look at all the GPS golf watches available on Amazon I choose this because of 1. the reduced price 2. the cycle/walk mode 3. although not attractive I think its not as ugly as some of the others available 4. there's no annuall subscription unlike the sky caddie watches.
After playing four rounds and cycling to work a few times im fairly satisfied with it.
To start with the negative point: its fairly large and i usually wear a watch on my right wrist, but on my back swing my wrists were pressing the buttons making it beep and change modes. The beep can be silenced and Ive changed it to my left wrist so this longer seems to be a problem. The automatic scoring function doesn't appear to work very well, usually suggesting eagle or birdie so its registering too few shots, so if your keeping score on it has to be manually adjusted after each hole. It does keep all your total round scores on the watch, however syncing it with the computer to see a hole by hole breakdown doesn't appear to work properly. I turned the scoring function off and I think that its not going to be effective in recording and analysing my rounds. Also during one round it froze/crashed whilst I was trying to input a score, I pressed all the buttons at once and it reset itself.
The positives: its main function of reading distances to the green works fine. One course which I played was not listed on voice caddie course list but it still worked. You can measure the distance you've hit your shot accurately. The walking and cycle function seems to work well and I know it measures your speed and distance accurately. The distance walked and time elapsed on the golf function is good. The swing tempo setting seems to work OK although im not sure how much use that is. It seems fairly robust and well made. Battery life seems fine.
Overall Im happy with the watch and I think its great value at £82
I purchased this item from a golf shop. There are a number of problems with it. The swing analysis doesn't work, it doesn't recognise some greens on some course especially if the course has, for example, 10 greens (like my home course) - it doesn't recognise the 2nd green (thinks it's always the 11th). Same problem with other courses. Also the software connecting it to a computer (to update?) doesn't work. As a watch it's ok but I wish I hadn't purchased it.I initially tried to contact the company but they were not very helpful. I should have returned it as not fit for purpose.
