Another lovely read about a normal family

5 star review for Amanda Prowse's Perfect Daughter. Once again, she takes us right into her character's head and women all over the world will identify with the everyday stresses of an ordinary mum (Jacks) in a monotonous marriage with 2 children to take care of, then having her mum with Dementia moving in as well and she ends up trying to be everything to everybody. She wants to relive her life vicariously through her daughter but the daughter has other plans, and she feels her daughter's life will turn out to be a duplicate of hers. The story is very well told and is easy to follow, even with the time jumps, and is an easy holiday read. You sympathise and empathise with all the characters, have a few laughs and tears along the way, and the ending is unexpected but lovely.
