I love Amy Poehler and her book is not at all disappointing; she writes very much like her characters are portrayed and is refreshingly honest with her words. Definitely recommend.

Disjointed. Read this directly after Tina Feys 'Bossypants' book. More humorous with what felt like superior writing style.This was subpar in comparison.

I stopped reading this, which isn't like me. There is no real flow to it (she does actually admit that she mainly wrote it on her phone) and it just seems to be made up of random ideas. Other people (such as Mindy Kaling) can seem to make that work, but this just doesn't work for me. Maybe it's because I don't have the background on the American TV personalities. I can tell that we're meant to have background on and great affection for the people she name checks, but I don't know who loads of them are so felt like I was missing something by not being able to picture most of the people in her backstage anecdotes.
