Downloaded these tracks as I planned to see Hudson Taylor at the Larmer Tree festival in Wiltshire- not only is it yet another brilliant ep (like all their others) but if you think their recorded stuff is good, you should see them live- they were totally brilliant- their harmonies as a duo were always spot on and when they were joined by Gabrielle Aplin, they produced sounds that sent shivers everywhere! Cannot wait for the debut album- and to see that album performed live. Just a little footnote too, as a result of their performance they had a huge amount of people waiting to see them at the signing afterwards, and they made time for everybody- no photo or signature request was turned down. Superstars of the future and not an ego in sight!
we saw Hudson Taylor by chance making a video on the streets of Dublin by Temple Bar,we hadn't got a clue who they were but were very impressed with what we heard as they were singing live 'Walking on the Flume'. On returning to the UK we bought their album OSEA and were really impressed with that and have now downloaded Battles ii,we look forward to listening to more of their songs.
Saw these guys at T in the Park over the summer by chance and thought they were one of the best acts of the festival. Came home and bought all of their stuff, but rate Battles as one of their finest! Like Mumford but a hell of a lot more upbeat.
