A collection of material from the late-fifties and early sixties, songs from our 'Pop/Rock'
heroes of the day and many from favourite artists that just kept knocking on the door of
the Charts back then.
Certainly numbers many of us will remember playing on the 'Juke' -'Box' back then, this
was much of the music we collected and sang along too.
It's nice to see many inclusions of numbers that did Chart but were not on reflection
considered part of the music revolution that kicked off in the mid-fifties.
Some of the memories included among the 120 tracks on-board.......on disc one......
'Cliff' - 'The Young Ones'........'Roy Orbison' --'Only The Lonely'........'Bobby Darin' --'Dream
Lover'........'Connie Francis' --'Lipstick On Your Collar'........'Frank Ifield' --'I Remember You'
'The Drifter's' --'Save The Last Dance For Me'........'Jimmy Dean' --'Big Bad John'........and
'Lonnie Donegan' --'My Old Man's A Dustman'........Just some of the truly magical numbers
on-board disc one.......on disc two........'Elvis' --'Return To Sender'........'Chris Montez' --
'Let's Dance'........'Neil Sedaka' --'Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen'........'John Leyton' --
'Johnny Remember Me'........'Jimmy Jones' --'Good Timin''..........'Danny Williams' --'Moon
River'........'Harry Belafonte' --'Island in The Sun'........'Tommy Steele' --'Little White Bull' ......
and........'Frankie Laine' --'Rawhide' ........Again just a random selection of the many gems
harboured on-board disc two........on disc three........'Pat Boone' --'Love Letters in The Sand'
'Andy Stewart and the White Heather Group' --'Donald Where's Yer Trousers'.......'The Everlys
--'Walk Right Back'........'The Shadows' --'Wonderful Land'........'Burl Ives Otis Show' --'Riders
in The Sky'........'Bill Hayley' --'See You Later Alligator'........'Elvis' --'Wooden Heart'........and
'Frankie Vaughan' --'Tower of Strength' .........a small sample of the great track-list on disc three
........on disc four........'Dion' --'Runaround Sue'........'Perry Como' --'Catch a Falling Star'.......
'The Shirelles' --'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow'........'Little Richard' --'Good Golly Miss Molly'
'Matt Monroe' --'Portrait of My Love'........'Sam Cooke' --'Cupid'........'Slim Whitman' -'Rose Marie'
and.......'B.Bumble and The Stingers' --'Nut Rocker'.......again just a selection of the many well
loved and known tracks on disc four.
I have simply just listed seven or eight of the memorable numbers from each of the four discs on
this, more than interesting selection of favourites from yester-year, kinda feel guilty not writing
many more worthy mentions on this review.............as indicated, though most of what's contained
on-board were indeed Rock/Pop memories, there are also several songs, not Rock/Pop that did
figure in our charts back then and often to be seen on the local 'Juke-Box'
These are songs that those of us that were there surely remember......this, genuinely needs
checking out......think many will understand my enthusiasm for this 4-CD Compilation.

Fabulous entertainment from start to finish the songs are marvellous and are a credit to survive for all these years. Artist are very clear and sound like yesterday that will have you on the move, swinging here and there around the room. So I rated this an A grade plus source that is not like all others and is worth every cent. Now I have it it's your turn to get a move on and grab it while you can as time is against us and live like we did for a few moments and forget our woes for awhile as it's much needed sometimes, some of the younger generation will enjoy this as they will understand the way we were years ago letting our hair down and having a ball. Enjoy!

Very good album lots of very good tracks, just to inform you that if you listen to this album you can hear the surface noise and slight vibration of the original vinyl records its certainly been produced from recording them straight from the original vinyl records but do not let this put you off this album its got that old vinyl sound and I am sure people who like the sound of vinyl they should go for it

Icame across this by chance but Amazon had not given us a track listing.

When I got a track listing the memories came flooding back.
The radio (Redifusion so free) playing these hits-My Mum in those wide dresses and the girls singing the latest songs in the street whilst playing on a swing strung to a lampost.

This is not a review because I honestly think the music does the talking- don't you?
Most fair people may thinkk that is useful though.

Item number 1 had some scratches/marks. So it is impossible to play two or three of the tracks. Therefore I am not completely satisfied with the product. That is a pity because the compilation consists of many nice songs. Is there anything to do about it?
