On the face of it, this seemed like the perfect solution for me as I sometimes need to be outdoors in the middle of the day as part of my work. However, I was shocked to discover from the suppliers that the battery cannot be replaced and "should last up to 2 years." For something costing this amount of many, I think it is outrageous that we're expected to just throw it away when the battery dies. If I had known this before I cut open the packaging it would have gone straight back. My recommendation: AVOID.
Checking UV index does not seem to be very reliable. It is hard to determine whether the presented result is valid or not, as the sun light coming to into the sensor could be measured for too short period or is somehow disturbed etc. Many times it seems that UVI is underrated, therefore it is hard to trust in measured safe exposition time.
Great product! I was diagnosed with skin cancer a couple of years ago so I thought I would give this product a go. It's simple to use and makes it easy to keep track of the amount of sun you're getting - unusually important for me being in the UK this summer!
