The latest instalment in the series of retrospective releases that followed the group's 2010 live reunion, "The albums collection" gathers Suede's 6 studio albums, and their B-Sides collection, the mighty "Sci-fi lullabies", packed in a smart, lift-off lid box, a mini-version of their highly collectible - and sold-out - 2013 vinyl box set. This limited edition box set features the tracklists of the original LPs (thus, no B-Sides or extra tracks), presented in vinyl replica card wallets, 3 of which are gatefold sleeves. No booklets are included, however, the albums are accompanied by a 60-page mini book, which is a replicated version of the book that was previously exclusive to the vinyl albums box set (and once again is the showstealer of the entire package, providing information about each Suede album track individually, as given by the band themselves). The raw fierceness of their eponymous debut, the sublime beauty of "Dog man star", the unstoppable passion of "Coming up", the elegiac magnificence of "Sci-fi lullabies", the urban alienation of "Head music", the mellow optimism of "A new morning", and the sophisticated energy of "Bloosports"; they are all boxed and ready to entertain anyone who purchases this fantastic item which is filled with the unmistakable sound that made Suede the kings of glam in the early '90s. Witty lyrics, inspired melodies, loud guitars, epic orchestrations, electrifying sex appeal, this little box contains the grandeur of this iconic band. Unmissable, if you do not own all the albums; essential, if you are a true Suedehead!
Note: For those who wish to explore the band even further, I would recommend the 2011 expanded re-mastered 2CD+DVD combos or, alternatively, the vinyl editions which are still available to buy individually in limited quantities.

If you, like me, grew in the digital era, this is a great way to buy every Suede album to fill your collection. The package is beautiful and the vinyl-replica covers are fantastic.
Suede's discography it's one of the strongest in british rock, they're a true legendary band pretty much underated even in their country. The high lights are Suede, Dog Man Star, Coming Up and the b-sides double-compilation Sci-Fi Lullabies - but Head Music, A New Morning and the new Bloodsports are quite fine albums as well.
The best part is definetly the 60 page book with the band talking about EACH SONG of the box. It's absolutely fantastic and it makes the price worth just by itself.
The only flaw is the lack of a booklet for each album. I just bought a David Bowie 1995-2003 box and it kept each booklet with original artwork for each album. In this box, there's no booklet for the albums; under the album covers, there's only the cd, which is a big shame.
Anyway, I believe it still worth buying - it would be cool if the band or fans could put the original artwork of each album in the forum so we could print and put in the box, then this fantastic box would be complete
