A bit too powerful for my kids, wouldn't want then hit in the face at close range it could honestly pop their eye out it's so powerful.

Actually overall quite good, the accuracy is a bit bad but just a bit no biggie.

Bought as a gift for my nephew. Seems my brother uses it the most. It's provided quite a bit of fun so far. There are a couple of downsides. The first is that for some reason the sometimes the gun seems to just go off during cocking the gun. This has affected both my brother and nephew so I'm assuming it's not just my nephew doing crazy things being that he's 7.
The other issue is a slight design flaw. You can mangle the darts into the drum from the front without opening it. Both my brother and nephew are afflicted by a desire to reload the gun as fast as possible and often bend the darts into place in the drum. A plastic disc or something to prevent this would add negligible cost and prevent bendy darts that no longer fly straight. However this isn't an issue to me because it isn't mine :)
Otherwise it seems to be very good and like I said is oroviding plenty of fun. Especially shooting my brother a lot.

Great gun and my son (and hubby) have had many hours of fun with it, only down fall is the the pull back trigger to reload is VERY stiff and therefore son can't do on his own which annoys him

I decided long ago never to buy a gun for a child. After much nagging I relented and bought this for my 8 year old son but my fortysomething brother-in-law is having more fun with it,I was quite surprised how hard it stings. as I accidently shot myself with a rubber bullet while trying to disarm an over excited child (or was it the brother-in-law).

Great gun, at a fab price. Reason I have knocked a star off is that the mechanism to arm the gun is very stiff (you have to pull back the grey bit until it clicks) my children (4 & 6) do not have the strength to do this. Which means an adult has to arm the guns for them before each shot. Very irritating! I'd reccomend for children 8-10yrs+

Despite the age recommendation being 8+ we got two of these from Santa for my 3 and 7 year olds. And wow, boys love, love, love them! But ouch, bit painful. I think the force of the bullets is far tougher than the orange bullets I remember from 8 years ago. Three year old can't load it himself but that's got to be a good thing!

Gun is ok. Does not jam as much as the automatic ones that use batteries. The main problem is that the part you need to pull back to prime the gun has sharp ends and it hurts your hand after a few shots. I will definitely try using some sand paper to make it smoother at some point.
