Long time in coming (over 25 years) but well worth the wait!!
Some of the albums highlights include 'Echoes', 'To End Of The Earth', 'Razor's Edge' which has similarity to the classic B Movie song 'Remembrance Day' but the album's standout track is 'The Dreamers' with it's catchy lyrics & chorus - a brilliant little tune! Other album tracks , 'Age of Illusion', Dark Lines', 'Other peoples Lives' and 'Perfect Storm' are more reminiscent of lead singer / song writer Steve Hovington's solo material. All in all, very enjoyable.
However, it's a shame that the most excellent songs, 'Careful in Dreams' & 'So Far Away' from the Distant Skies EP which was released just before this album were not included; if they had of been I would have given this B Movie album a 5 star rating.
This latest offering from B Movie with the quality of the song writing, great production & that B Movie sound is destined to be one of the lads best album's.
i have waited patiently for the fantastic b.movie to release new material. and now the have and what a fantastic album it is . the maturity the production steve hovingtons voice is as remarkable as ever . when people say to me what is your favourite b movie track i always think of marilyn dreams the 12" version then along came age of illusion and i ahve been blown away a wonderful album by a wonderful band more please much more a big record company should grab this album and have it put out with the full backing of that record company . you just have to listen to car crash and other peoples lives to realse what a clever album this is its so good to see them back together long may it continue
