Makes Mad Max look like a Sunday picnic. Fallocaust is full of surprises it has more twists then a junk yard gogo dancer. I really enjoyed the clever problem solving used for the harsh environment, some of it very disturbing, the book also has a curious take on community and necessity, some of the things they have to do to survive is just horrible The characters are solid, cant help but develop attachments, some very tender moments contrasted with gasping brutal horror. Its not all creeping death doom and violence thou, Fallocaust is peppered with humor and fun. Looking forward to the next installment so i can hang out with the guys again in the Grey Wastes
Bought this book a while ago, sat on my kindle, thought the cover was a bit naff. never judge a book by the cover. brilliant book. dark stuff, well written. well plotted out. couldn't put it down. bought the next book, breaking jade, equally as good. have pre ordered the follow on.
This book is, I think, the darkest I have ever read. It is incredibly graphic, violence, torture, murder, cannibalism, rape, you name it this book has it. I needed a break from all the MM romance, and I sure got it. The other thing this book is, is brilliant! It is a brilliant mind that can conjure up a world and its happenings following the Fallocaust. As soon as this review is written I'm diving straight into book 1.5!
