Loved the trials and tribulations of Simon and Kara.
Mine for Tonight.
So we meet Simon, who at first seems a bit creepy, stalking Kara, who works for his mother in her restaurant.
Kara is struggling to finish medical school and supporting herself by working., she does not have time for a social life.
Kara leaves work for home, but faints on the way, this is where Simon, who has been following her home for quite some time (Creepy Stalker!!) seeing that she gets home safe. Simon is there in an instant he does no more that takes her back to his penthouse so she can recuperate, he really does care, an infatuation an obsession soon becomes heartfelt feelings.
Whilst she is staying with him, she finds out that her roommate has deceived her leaving her homeless. Simon makes her an offer, to stay with him whilst she finishes medical school, but there are conditions - aren't there always conditions.
He wants her for One night only, giving her total surrender, Kara is quite naive, but does not answer immediately. They begin sharing each others lives.
Kara then begins to have deep rooted feelings but is also scared to act on them, fearing everyone is like her ex.
She gives into her desires and has one night, even giving herself over completely. The deeper connection begins to take hold of both of them.
Simon's tastes are singular, but there is something that he is hiding, and after an explosive night he carriers her back to her room. I must admit I was quite shocked at this.
Mine for Now
Kara goes into help her friend at her Clinic, when they are attacked. 2 junkies are attempting to rob the place, with Kara almost getting shot. Kara protects herself and a patient. Simon finds out by way of a text, and is soon by her side at the police station.
I Loved drunk Kara, totally let her inhibitions go, revealing more about her feelings than she has ever done before. Drunk Kara wants to help Simon, she wants to understand why he is like he is in the bedroom.
Kara is soon breaking through Simon's walls, hot passionate moment; they actually have a good friendship as well as being explosive lovers.
She is friends with Simon's Mom, but is warning her not to get her hopes up, it seems like Simon's Mom Helen is quite the romantic.
I loved bold Kara, when she see's him in his gory, he is desperately trying to hide himself away.
They share a very heated and very poignant moment and she breaks down even more of this walls. She is so nervous but is soon relishing their impromptu time.
It's Simon's birthday and his brother Sam throws him a party. They have a very sexy hot moment in the elevator, getting totally caught up in the moment.
Kara meets Sam, and soon Kara and Simon are mingling, I really like Kara she has huge feelings even though she keeps doubting herself, she overhears a private moment, realizing its Simon, she walks off utterly distraught.
Sam catches up to her and propositions her for when she is finished with Simon, she gives him what for and walks away, Simon gets home finding her gone, not before he finds her gift for him. A very sentimental coin of her late fathers.
Kara was desperately looking for a job, to pay back the money Simon gave her, she is a really proud and very stubborn lady.
Simon tries to reach out to her, but she is convinced she is a stop gap until another woman comes along. Kara is quite shocked when Sam finds her in the town to talk to her, to apologize he even helps quell her thoughts about the woman Simon was talking to at his party.
Kara soon realizes Sam isn't as bad as she thought he was.
She then leaves, well I didn't expect to see what happens next. Kara gets attacked by the junkies, when she suddenly hears Sam coming to her rescue, along with two other people; she takes a heavy blow to the head.
I'm really loving these two, if there were ever a couple that were meant to be, its most definitely Kara and Simon.
We pick up where Mine for now ended, with Kara in hospital after being attacked, with Simon by her side.
Their conversations, out loud and in their heads had me swooning, hoping they can overcome all the insecurities, heartache, issues they have both encountered.
Loving seeing these tow strong, independent determined people realizing not only their own self worth but the worth and adoration of each other.
Sam seems to be their No.1 cheerleader, really enjoying the brotherly banter.
Loved how Simon accepted the help of his assistant and secretary over Valentines Day, how they are both relishing each others firsts. Simon has a way of getting so thoroughly deeply under your skin, you can feel how much he loves Kara even if it was hard for him to accept. What are big brothers for?
I thought Simon opening up to Kara was such a beautiful heartfelt poignant moment, a moment that clarified their relationship. They were together but this just solidified everything. He had been dealing with some tough issues.
I loved Kara's Valentines present, even if Simon was a bit sneaky with some of his wishes.
The vacation at Disneyland was so much more special, again as it was a first for both of them, but also because Simon has a very special question for her.
So we catch up with Simon and Kara as their wedding gets closer, Kara is hell bent of getting him to sign a pre-nup. You just know that Simon loves her with his whole heart, there is nowhere in his future he sees himself without Kara. We also find out why Kara has been over emotional - awe.
Its Valentines Day and after a chat with Maddie Kara realizes why she feels the way she does about money and what she wants to do about it.
Starting with sexy Valentines Day gifts, she also has a very big gift for him too. She tells him why she has been over emotional and Simon takes it all in his stride.
A beautiful continuation of their love story.
Then... I turn the page and now I want to be reading the rest of tej series immediately, J S Soctt has a way to keep your interest and investment in her characters.
