Have always liked CharlieDaniels with his unique southern rock style, but not much "Dixie"about this offering. Suppose it had to be that c.daniels wouldcover Dylan as he played on some early Dylan albums. The problem here is the song choice. Charlies voice is a bit too ragged to tackle songs like "tangled up in blue" and "country pie" and one of Dylans least favourite song of mine "gotta serve somebody". Charlies voice is more suited to the more sedate renderings of "I shall be released"/"mr tambourine man" and "the timesthey-are-a-changin'".Whilst there are better versions of these songs around, the CDB treat these versions competently and the majority of the instruementation is acoustic based with banjo and mandolin with Charlies unique fiddle stlye this is a pleasant interpretation of "Dylans work, albeit a pretty standard reading of Sylans more popular songs. The 3 star rating means its not the best Dylan tribute, but not the worst. Recommended for Dylan fans and die-hard Charlie Daniels followers also.

Perhaps I should have noted the awful title, plus some of the other reviews, before I bought this.
It is terrible.
The band is fine, as you would expect, but the vocals are dire. These are Bob Dylan songs, and their "interpretation" by Charlie Daniels grates on the ear. I can barely listen to the cacophony.
