was really looking forward to this cd as i,ve been a barry fan for years, but was a bit disappointed, first of all he,s singing really well, and yes he is a great pianist, but still think would have been better with a big band backing as i found the whole thing pretty maudlin and i,m not taking away this man,s great talent.reminds me of streisands latest cd,s same thing great singer etc, but maudlin, sorry barry much preferred parqadise cafe, it,s not for me as only the piano as the backing doesn,t do it for me, but it still is a really good album, so don,t be put off

You will love this album if u r a musician rather than a Fanilow. Here is jazz piano playing and arranging at its best. His voice is fine and his interpretation superb- who would have thought that a man of his years could render 'Blame it on my youth' so poignantly. The man is a musical genuis and hugely underrated in terms of his musicianship and appreciation of jazz and musical theatre. If u love Paradise Cafe you will love this - hope he does more like this in the future

I like it because it is truly a very stripped down cd. No other one accompanying him, just him & piano only, which shows his voice off in another way. Just a little bit missing that I cannot find words appropriate to say what, but never the less an excellent cd to relax in evenings to.

Not his best but pleasant enough. Fanilows will probably love it but I think the song selection could have been better.

What a lovely CD. It contains many standard songs that had more or less slipped from the collective consciousness, and Manilow now brings them back with a polish and a shine and a slight rasp here and there, which really gives them a second life. It's an understated and lovingly made production, just one guy and his keyboard, and fits the mood whether at home, in the car, on the smartphone or ... well, I wouldn't want to tell you what to do in your bedroom!

Was very disappointed with this album. Think Barry has lost his magic and his voice not at his best.

I enjoy all Barry Manilow's work but this is fabulous to chill out by. Either as a winter cosy evening cd or background music for an intimate dinner it's well put together and a must for Manilow lovers
