This is an increasing and undesirable development with several well known authors - e.g. Baldacci, Child, Leather - who can write excellent full length books, resorting to filling a few pages with rubbish as a 'short story' (or in this case a 'novella' - how pretentious). They then charge a disproportionate amount for this rubbish.
Are these guys so desperate for the money that they are prepared to treat their readers so contemptuously? Clearly they are! Consequently I will stop buying any more of their books and move to other authors.

Thoroughly disappointing!!! At about 40 minutes, it is not worth your time. It is not skilful storytelling by anyone's yardstick. It is a hotpotch of conveniences contrived as some sort of masterplan to down the VP. Preposterous in places and downright silly in others. I'm a big Baldacci fan, but I wish I'd never bothered with this trashy kind of tripe. And I sincerely wish that he never had either!! Pls don't waste your time and money on this - it really isn't worth either expense. It's not worth even one star - a quarter star would just about cover it!

Didn't realise this was such a short story just getting into it and it was over. Rest of the book was devoted to giving you a taste of the next book coming shortly. Felt a little cheated as I really enjoy David Baldacci stories so be aware this is not a full length book even though it appears to have a lot of pages!!

Very good read keeps you wanting to know what's coming next as with all the Will Robie books they suck you into the story.

As usual David Baldacci has written a brilliant story, long enough for lots of action but short enough to fill a loose hour.

As always Baldacci excels in his portrayal of Robie, which was even better with his meeting of Oliver Stone of the Camel Club.
Baldacci seems to come up with something new every time. Just love him.
