4.3 out of 5 stars
EP2 [Explicit]
Format: MP3 Download|Change

on 18 April 2014
Really enjoyin this ep, even more than ep1 which i would rate as 3 out of 5. I'd have given this 5 stars if it wasnt for Blue Eyed Hexe which riffs like something off Back in Black by ACDC. Greens and Blues is a classic indie pop tune and Snakes takes u down that road of post punk and psychedila fusion that The Pixies alwayys had a thing for. If ur serious about music, then dont listen to some of these idiot reviews that compare with Surfa Rosa or complain about the Deal absence, etc. People bang on about 'legends' and i think thats more about style than substance. Same kind of thing about StoneRoses, etc who added to know more than a few half decent pop tunes over shadowed by hype.

Perhaps slightly more produced than their earlier fayre but it's not far off being magnificent. Give it a go....what's the worst that could happen?

Blue Eyed Hexe is enough to rate this 5 out of 5. You can't compare this with their back catalogue. It's what is out now that is relevant. Foo Fighters anyone?

Great to see the Pixies back. Great to have an EP at an affordable price. I love blue eyed Hexe.

that's not a comment on the music but to all the whingers saying its not pixies without kim.being old enough to have first heard river Euphrates on peel and being instantly hooked I for one am still excited by new pixies music.time will tell if these songs go on to become favourites but give them a chance f.f.s .after a few listens they blend in quite nicely with the back catalogue .personal fave is Magdalena
