Complicated to say the least.

You get 4-5-6 "booklets" 2 pages of instructions each, nothing advanced at all, and probably only one in your language unless your bilingual.
Then it still wouldn't matter b/c they say the same thing.
The downloadable online instructions contain 196 pages and fortunately it only cost me $3.00 to have them all printed here in Thailand.
There's also a number of other downloads you need if you want to use their software and the locations are located throughout the pages. Not a simple task.
It would be nice if the shutter opened when you turn it on like the Panasonic and the manual location of it is on the lower right side, not so easy to get to.
The BP 718 batteries life is SHORT, so plan on picking more up, and it can only be charged via a long, 2-piece cord. Fortunately a plug In charger is available and you won't need to attach the camera. The bigger battery is BP BP727 and I got 2 on eBay, with the dual voltage wall charger,12v car charger and other items cheap. Make sure they're un-coded or the remaining time won't show up on the camera.
The zoom is a bit tough to use, but if you sift thru the manual, it can be added to the screen and used there. Unfortunately you cannot have it default there and have to add it again every time you turn it on. The touch screen could be easier to use as the icons are very small for my fat fingers.
Other than that, it takes stunning videos and stills. Great color saturation and fully adjustable setting and screen variations.
The blur shows up if you pan to quickly, even in wide angle, so take your time. I bought some faster cards, SanDisk class 10 @ 40 MB/s' but it no great improvement.
The online description say's it will take up to a 16 GB card, but the real book tells you that you can use up to a 64 GB one.
I'm planning on a trip back to the US and not take a computer to store it on, hence the additional cards.
Shoot a number of scenes and then practice deleting them, one at a time. One first use, I deleted them all.
All and all if you can get over the few faults mentioned it's a good little machine and was actually cheaper getting it here and shipped to Thailand than from the US.
