Got this in pound land. Cover made it look like it was good like the film 300. In truth it was like watching paint dry. Turned it off before the end. Nothing happened during movie that was interesting.one of worst films I ever seen. Was bored nearly to death!

This DVD description was VERY misleading - when it arrived I discovered that in reality it was a low budget production that I'd seen on the TV as 'Legend of the Keeper - Omar Khayyam' and the 'action' keeps switching between 'present day' and the 11th century. No epic battles, nothing, very low key and focused mainly on a very young Iranian boy living in the USA who travels to the UK to see a copy of the 'Rubaiyatt of Omar Khayyam' with flash-backs to ancient persia telling about the life of Omar. I have no idea why this was just released as it was on TV 2 years ago!

There are no muscle bound 300 style warriors in this film, so I don't know where that image was ripped off from. This film is more like a really bad, dreary retelling of The Princess Bride, in an Arabic setting. A young boy in modern times is being told a story about an ancient love triangle, which is poorly played out by a cast of actors who spend most of their time talking about the main character's skills in maths and astrology. There's not a single epic battle scene in the entire movie, just a couple of namby-pamby looking sword fights. And Vanessa Redgrave gets out-acted by a dog.

This DVD description was spot on - when it arrived I discovered that it was an excellent rarely seen movie on TV called 'Legend of the Keeper - Omar Khayyam' the 'action'quick cuts between 'present day' and the 11th century. so its really fast paced with epic battles. Focused mainly on a very young Iranian boy living in the USA who travels to the UK to see a copy of the 'Rubaiyatt of Omar Khayyam' withquick cuts back to ancient Persia telling about the life of Omar. I have no idea why this was just released as it is simply incredible.
