The Complete WWF Video Guide Volume IV
Format: Kindle Edition|Change

on 31 December 2013
I have read almost all the books these guys have released so far and have yet to be let down. The books do pretty much exactly what they promise which is provide a guide and review of every WWE home video release during the time frame given and they do so in my opinion in a fun and informative way.

This video covers the 'attitude era' for the WWE or as these guys label it the 'Vince Russo Years' and many of my childhood wrestling memories came flooding back as I read and enjoyed this book. All the PPV's released during this time are covered and most major angles are described and reviewed.

You will find many things you disagree with, I at times strongly disagreed with the writers opinions on certain matches or angels but they write in such an entertaining way it is hard to not enjoy what is on offer.

All in all I would strongly recommend this book to any fans of the WWE or the Wrestling in general. However I would also recommend reading next to a tablet or PC with YouTube freely available as the urge to watch and look up the clips described is very hard to ignore.

Much more than just a list now, brilliant analysis of all the events plus the timeframe. Loved it and well worth the money.

Every WWF/E PPV of the early attitude era is reviewed in typically fine style by the HOW team. The coverage of Survivor Series 1997 is particularly opinionated and authorative. Massively recommended.

I cannot praise this series and these authors enough. The volumes are more than the video guide they profess to be - they in fact provide a near chronological walk through WWF / WWE history via PPVs, video events and so on. With each match and event reviewed in detail, with an honest look without any any rose tinted glasses and some killer humour. My only criticism is that there is such a gap between release dates!

Cannot wait for the next volume - hours and hours of enjoyment reading these volumes. Well done guys.

It really isn't a guide at all, it's just a collection of reviews on PPV's, that's it, if i wanted that i'd google it. waste of money
