I have not finished this 'works' but what I have read has been translated well and in an interesting tone. The introduction was lengthy, and gave quite a thorough reading for beginners, though at a more advanced level, a deeper examination of the city, the policies that lead to for example the death of Socrates, or the birth of philosophy would be interesting. Points of main interest so far are the characters and points in the dialogue which may resonate for the modern reader with a political eye. Nevertheless and entertaining read, I encourage it as light reading, since philosophy is simple English in most cases.
