Never heard of Nils Frahm
This is a fantastic album and the transfer on to vinyl is absolutely incredible
Live performance, the mix is spot on
Cannot emphasize how wonderful this musician is
It is worth investing in a descent turntable to listen to the recording

Love it to bits. Euphoric in places - ideal headphone music

Bought this after hearing "Says" on BBC 6 Music. While that is the most instantly likeable, stand out track the rest feels like stuff that I will grow to love as I hear it more. Delighted with it.

The beauty and passion for minimal and new music is not only hearable but almost touchable on this record. It's independent form the mainstream but als part of a tradition. It let me associate with the Köln concert of Keith Jarrett.

TOP 1000 REVIEWERon 3 August 2017
This is a simply lovely, piano-driven collection of live recordings. The sound quality is immaculate, so that you would hardly guess it was live were it not for the audience response at the end of each piece. Some of the tracks are beautifully meditative, but have a cumulative power, with the outstanding 'Says' a superb example of this, as Frahm's melodies & rhythms build to a glorious climax. 'Hammers' is another excitingly vivid exploration of the keyboard's potential, which for me had some echoes of Keith Jarret's 'Koln Concert'.

Other pieces are beautifully restrained & tranquil, sometimes focussing solely on keyboards, and without synthesiser & other electronica.
Simply lovely stuff, and with a running time of some 78 minutes, a really generous selection.

The best to date of Nils Frahm. Almost 80' of varied pianism, ranging from quiet, quasi-classical pieces to full-on fierce, hammered rhythmic attack, short pieces, extended pieces. A record fully representing his compositional and improvising genius, sui-generis. A record full to bursting with great music.

This is one of my favorite albums of the last 12 months. Nils Frahm creates the most fantastic sound scapes; the energy changes with each track. I've even given this album as a present to a very picky music lover!

In a word, exquisite. Thankyou Mr Frahm for this beautifully crafted piece of music. Spaces is an innovative fusion of classical piano and modern electronics. Highly recommended! If you get an opportunity to see him live do it, he's brilliant.
