As frequently visitors to Tenerife this and the previous book bring back perfect memories of the isle. Locals and 'swallows' are accurately depicted with the humour or lack of it they deserve. Joe -Thank you for sharing your tales. Most enjoyable. Good luck with your new life.

Even More ketchup Than Salsa: The Final Dollop

Having read Joes first Ketchup book I was eager to find out, 'What happened next' and I wasn't disappointed. A beautiful love story, tenderly told.

Stop reading this review and go buy the Final Dollop. Still here? Okay then if you haven't read the first instalment - go read that. Are you still, still here? Fair enough - if you have ever been on holiday abroad - and wondered about those English Bars - then this is their life.

The author shares his life, soul and heart with you the reader for just a few hundred pesetas.

Not as good as the first one, But since this is the "serious" side coming out( relationships, the slide into "normallity" etc) its to be expected.
Fantasic set of books id give the set 4 and a half stars for the pair.

The second of Joe's books based around his life running and owning The Smugglers in Tenerife, is as compelling reading as the first book. The quirks of characters and the insights into their own struggles makes interesting and entertaining reading.
I was there for the highs and the lows, held my breathe at heart stopping moments and shouted noooo at certain points near the end ( thank god you saw sense about location!!!)
Loved the Final Dollop!

The 2nd book was as good as the first. A great tale of human beings and their issues and challenges and their sense of humour. Loved it. Thanks Joe. Looking forward to the third one.

I read the first book a bit ago and was very pleased to discover a new one was available. It was like catching up with old friends. A very enjoyable book, a little sad in places but funny in others. I really enjoyed it and it bought back happy memories of holidays spent on the Canary Isles.

Not what I was expecting. A lot of serious stuff as well as the humerus but a good read
