Before buying this cd I only knew 2 tracks on it. I'm glad I gambled on it (what's life without a gamble) as it contains some good to excellent tracks. It's yet another well realised compilation by 'Ace/Kent Records' (58.20mins) that has great sound quality (17 tracks in Mono and seven in Stereo) and comes with an informative 20 page colour booklet that has some great pics and label scans. The range of music is really wide, there are Beat Ballads, out and out Stompers mixed up with some Popcorn. The tracks on the whole come from the period 1962 to 1968. My favourite tracks are 'Ice-man' by Billy Watkins, 'Echoes in the night' by Tommy Mosley, the fantastic ballad 'Stand there mountain' by Vince Howard and the wonderful catchy 'Boomerang' by The Lovemates. There are more good tracks, not all are to my taste but overall it's a very good compilation with something for everyone. 8/10.

Please note: 6 tracks have been re-mixed by Rob Keyloch (incl. 'The Ice-man' by Billy Watkins).
