I heartily recommend this album to any who enjoy contemporary/traditional Scottish fiddle. Whether in traditional tunes or ones entirely of his own writing, Chisholm is a master of his genre. His performance and delivery are so slick it's easy to find yourself drifting away to places of youth, favourite views or even simply the joy of the music. He achieves once more an atmosphere which is absorbing and regenerative.
For me this is the absolute success to follow Farrar and Affric. Canaich was excellent but Live at Celtic Connections draws together all the threads and promotes Chisholm to the first rank of live performers in his genre. Move aside Capercaillie and Ceol Beag, he's different, but easily as good!
Recommended for dedicated Scottish folkies, those starting out in traditional music and even just those who seek an almost ambient experience to take them away for while.

There is nothing to dislike about this man's music. It is so lovely it made me want to cry, laugh, dance and dream, of childhood memories and future fantasies. Sublime listening.
