TOP 500 REVIEWERon 22 January 2014
One of Primavera's old adversaries turns up in St Marti and she finds she now likes him but he is killed in a bomb blast which the authorities insist is a gas leak. As she investigates the bodies mount up and the danger increases. This is a good, well plotted novel with plenty of twists and turns and a large dollop of family life. I do think, however, that whilst this novel will stand alone you will enjoy it better if you have read the preceding titles as Primavera's ongoing family life is an integral part of the whole. I really enjoy this series and recommend As Serious As Death as a good read. On a technical note I found the Kindle edition difficult to read as the typeset was faint and the font unfamiliar.

Love Quentin Jardine's books and his different characters. Good to see that is he allowing Primavera to age (if not gracefully) and bringing the children into the book. Another good story with a couple of storylines running at the same time.

As with all previous books a really intriguing storyline and characters in this latest book by Quintin Jardine, you just cant wait for the next one to be published. You can just imaging yourself in the places he describes and being among the characters which you feel that you know really well.

QJ does not disappoint his fans with another brilliantly gripping tale of Privavera's life - as always the book can be read as a stand alone , however, once you have read one Primavera you will want to read them all.
ANot to be missed read

Another captivating novel from the pen of one of the best of British crime writers. As always, it had me held in suspense for most of the book. Really satisfying read!!
