Firstly a gripe - this mini album/EP is available for download but if you want it in physical form then youll have to buy vinyl. Why? is the question here. As a child of the 60's i sure wish we were living back in those times again too and that the good old long laying record was still the way to go. But unfortunately we're not living in the great days of the 60's and 70's anymore, but the (10's?)- a very bleak and miserable time to be alive for those of you not old enough to remember better days. The fact is that 99% of the population dont even own a record player now so this endeavour seems rather pointless and can only do this band more harm than good. Guys - get the new album out on CD when its done. Whats gone is gone, itll never come back

Ok - the music. This disc starts off with a truly majestic track 'devil man' which is surely destined to become a rock classic and on the strength of this song alone this band deserve very big things to happen to them. Follower 'the river' is pretty sweet, but not as strong. The last 2 tracks for me are pretty basic fare, which is a shame.

Obviously a great little band here with superb musicianship and a truly great female singer who sounds like the offspring of robert plant and janis joplin! A wonderful voice indeed and after witnessing them live i can assure you theres no studio trickery involved - This gal can sing the balls off a rhino! Reminds me very much of the great lee aaron and it would truly be a sin if this girl and her band were to disappear into obscurity like so many great bands seem to nowadays in these shallow and contrived times

The danger is in the choice of material. 'devil man' for sure is an almost impossible song to follow, but after listening to the rest of the disc, and also their other offerings, i detect a slight weakness in the songwriting department which will have to be addressed if this band wants to move up the ladder. The singer here is their absolute jewel in the crown and without her (no disrespect to the guys intended) they would just be another rock/metal band amongst the multitude of others. Therefore they must start to write for her and showcase her undeniable talent - every song they write from now on must show her in the best possible light, as per the incredible aforementioned 'devil man' - i sure hope they can do this and i wish them all the best
