At last a live album from that period it was done just before thay came over to England for what was then called monsters of rock at donington as for this cd it realy is up there with alive 1. 2 3. and also shows what a fantastic guitar player bruce kulick is that's my view you should buy this if only for the singalong on crazy nights its dare I say a classic but that's just me because I love kiss music .
This is a real cd. It's not a cdr. Which is a big plus. the cd is available on amazon.com, and supposedly on this site as well, it will sound the same as a download so this is still relevant to that format. This was taken from a live radio concert back in 1988 in NEW YORK CITY. The band is tight here and they were promoting their 'crazy nights' cd at the time. IN fact you get several songs from that tour on here. "Fits like a glove' , no no no' , and 'crazy nights' none of which are on a regular live release , the other songs are the standards that the band has played for four decades. But back then , the band was around 15 years old. The sound on here is raw , but it's a clear sound because they recorded it at the time it was broadcast. Kiss hadn't played a club since 1973 , so this was a special occasion. If you are a kiss fan looking for a good raw live show , then this one is for you. Or perhaps you are just someone who wants some great melodic metal , the best kind! , then this is also for you. This is not cleaned up , so don't expect that type of sound. Another thing the band was playing very loud , as if they were in a bigger place.!. However you can understand much of what is sung and so kiss fans should want this in your collection. I still collect cds. as it's actually sitting on my shelf besides my other kiss cds as part of a collection. This one will sit next to my 'calling dr love' boot from the same era. ANd that one was printed back in 1989 or so. time flies by so fast. But for a kiss fan , it doesn't matter , we want more of their excellent rock sounds.
