Fantastic selection of Christmas music, enough to put even Scrooge in the festive spirit. Not just the usual pop songs reeled out year after year, but instead some really classy pieces everyone can appreciate ! Highly recommended

It seems at the moment we are being inundated with free Christmas music by Amazon, and this four track EP is well worth listening to. You may wonder why we have a piece from the Nutcracker Suite on here, but it has been performed in December since something like 1892, in places throughout the world, so it does have a right to be here; although not what we would think of as a Christmas piece.

This is a nice relaxing download to listen to, and the third track, which is a Gregorian Chant, is something that will help you unwind after a stressful day.

It's a beautiful, if rather short album, with some well-chosen pieces that many will not have listened to before, but will find themselves very pleasantly relaxed and moved by.

Jingle Bells: a lovely choral version by the International Children's Choir - really harmonious and a joy to listen to.

The Nutcracker Suite Op. 71: No. 13 Waltz of Flowers by Berlim Symphony Orchestra: Some may wonder why it is in a Christmas album, but this piece has been around at Christmas for many many years. It's a lovely piece, and many people who 'poo-poo' classical music as 'boring' will probably be quite pleasently surprised when they recognise it AND enjoy it. Nearly 7 minutes of beautiful orchestral music in one track.

Gloria - Gloria in ecelsis deo by Capella Gregoriana: A beautiful, almost haunting, male monk-chanting type piece. It's not what most people would listen to, but can really hold your attention and calm the air - imagine a cathedral dome dimly lit by candles - lovely!!

Silent night, holy night by Budapest Strings: Beautiful female choral piece, and not overdone like some other versions of Silent Night.

It is free and the comprehensive selection of 100 classical and choral songs are very Christmassy. Makes a nice change to all the usual pop songs that get trotted out every year.

What more could you want (apart from a change of a lump of coal in your stocking)?

Absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for this free surprise, it is full of my Christmas favourites and I love it. Been playing it all afternoon, with the candles lit, and it is a real and unexpected treat.

I regularly download music and books from Amazon but when I try to download this I am directed to a "CLOUD" which apparently costs £21 to use. Unless I am very wrong this is not a "free" offer at all.

Much appreciated x

Please be aware that you get double benefits given the cloud-player option on software/egoods. All we need to do now is establish a fairer tax regime for 'UK' based retailers. 😈
Thanks!

A bit of a tin ear, so can't judge sound quality, except that it seemed a trifle off. Actual music tuneful i.e. made to fit composer's intent, rather than as, too often, nowadays, the limited talents of the performers
