This is a great tie/belt rack from InterDesign. This rack looks very stylish in its nice chrome finish and is very well made, featuring 8 sturdy hooks. As you can see from my picture on my review I am using this accessory to organise my belts and it fits perfectly on the back of my wardrobe door. This is helping to reduce clutter elsewhere and helps to keep all my belts in one place.
I already have a rack for the ties which, with changing fashions, I rarely wear any more. This one is well-made and so strong that we have put it on the back of our wooden kitchen door to hang items such as aprons and a hot water bottle. It is too good to hide away and to only use for light objects such as scarves or ties. All the edges are well-rounded, so there are no sharp bits to catch things on.
It looks very good there, and with eight hooks it provides a lot of storage. It would be too heavy for most wardrobe doors, and I suspect it could damage any wooden doors which aren’t reasonably strong. The silver chrome finish enhances its appearance, so that it would fit into the decor of either modern or older houses as it is a timeless design.
It comes with all the fittings you need to mount it in seconds.
This hanging rack is very well made, using a thicker gauge metal than strictly needed for the advertised use. It will cope with over-crowding and more than eight items hung from its hooks, the weak point is likely to be the fixing to the solid surface.
Two screws and wall plugs are provided and, if fixed to a solid wall, you should have no problems. I would hesitate to fit to a wardrobe door simply because smaller screws would be needed and this feels too heavy to go on a thin wooden door (bearing in mind the length of screw that could be used).
The item is of sufficient quality that I would happily use it to hang utensils in the kitchen as an alternative.
This looks smart with its simple and neat design and shiny chrome finish.
You get 8 hooks which are around 1cm in width spaced at around 2 inches apart welded onto two chrome rails which are attatched to the wall or wardrobe or even the back of a door by two screws ( which are supplied along with two wall plugs). It is a simple chrome design so fits any decor and wont date so will last years.
For fitting you will need a small drill and a spirit level. It is really simple to fit and done in moments.
This is sold as a tie or belt rack but i think you could get away with hanging lighter coats ( summer jackets but not heavy winter coats) on it as it is so robust.
I have mounted this on the inside of my new wardrobes to store ties and belts, A function in which this rack exceeds in! It comes with fixings including raw plugs for masonry. The hooks and frame are of highly durable construction and material, its looks nice and is solid!
Going to buy another for her side of the wardrobe!
If you found this review helpful, please consider giving it a thumbs up!
The simplicity of this design makes it very versatile. It is very well made and will fit into any decor style. Created for belts, it has many other uses too. In the kitchen for aprons, in the bathroom for dressing gowns. I may use this in my "glory hole" to hang shopping bags, which seem to take up a lot of space. Overall - an excellent storage solution
The rack comes with fixing screws, is sturdily made and is handy for hanging objects. My husband liked the look of this rack and it has been commandeered for the bike shed where it is going to be used for lots of bike related objects. It can also be used for other things of course, bags, ties, belts, etc.
