This book continues on with the new storyline just started in the last volume; some new characters are introduced, a new member joins the crew and sadly we lose a crew member as well. I have a pretty good feeling this person will be back though. The plot here is pretty silly but I have to say I liked it; the pirate chefs are a lot of fun and the Hawkeye character sets up a storyline that can be revisited in the future. I had a rough start to this series but am now happily emerged in its wild and wacky world.
Love the story and it's tangled web of intricases.
Art starts off simple in the first book but gets better and better as the series progresses.
Any bad points? yes, well a grumble really, in the english adaptions it seems that the large two page colour spreads are in greyscale, but i suppose if the colour walk books are released here you can get those for your colour spread fix.
If you like Action + Fighting only manga, this sadly is not for you, if you like a bit of comedy a lot of story and masses of characters (who all have a story to tell) mixed in with some fighting and action this is it.
Hopefully we will see all of the 50 volumes(as of today) released here soon, but remember this story has run for over 10 years now so it may take a while.
With Luffy still working at the Baratie to pay off his damages, the floating restaurant is visited by Don Krieg and the starving and beaten remains of his pirate fleet. After being saved though the ungrateful pirates decide to take over the restaurant themselves only to be interrupted by an even more powerful force.
This sixth volume of the One Piece manga is where I feel that the series really starts getting good. With some great fights and with a bit more info on the Grand Line this volume is easily the best the series has had so far. This volume also sees the introduction of one of my favourite characters in the series, Hawk Eye Mihawk. The bad guy for this arc, Don Krieg, is also an interesting character with a nice design and although he isn't the best one from the series he is still quite good.
