Some of Ry's recent stuff has been of variable quality. This CD is what he does best-take some great old songs, have a great band and let rip. His fans will know most of the tracks but there are some nice surprises eg a corking version of Wolly Bully (Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs) . Guaranteed to cheer you up

The albums magic is clear in this offering. Cooder is as brilliant as ever. I've been an avid fan since the seventies.
