Totally unexpected ! The 3 workouts are fast.. they do get the job done. shaun keeps you focused the entire time. The abs dvd really effective to do . I hated tuck jumps to start with (was not crouching down enough) but can now keep up with shaun !!!! ! Well done shaun ... recommend you buy this set
I love all the Insanity stuff! The cardio work out is mega intense and takes you to another level. Did the upper body on Friday for the first time. I haven't got really heavy weights and was working with a maximum of 6k, so didn't find it particularly taxing, but I definitely felt it yesterday.
I bought this to supplement the second month of insanity, and really found the abs to take it to another level. Also sport training was fun. I've not yet used the third DVD, upper body training, but plan to mix all three into on-going workouts. My husband is using the DVDs to supplement his running training too.
Some 4 years or so now I've had these; bought with the whole 'Insanity' experience as I wanted some extra options and just a good chance of making my body the best it could be.
I must say that I think that these are the interim step between what was - 'Insanity' - and what was to come - 'Asylum'.
Let's start with 'Max Interval Sports....'; that can be seen as the forerunner to 'Game Day' in 'Asylum' and, as such, is so much fun and gives you one heck of a good workout! A killer, refined into 'Game Day' granted, but a great stand up workout all the same....
'Insane Abs'? The next level. Heck, any Shaun T abs workout has an element of cardio in there, and this is just the same! A great little workout, tougher than the regular one involved in the 'Insanity' pack.....
'Upper Body Weight Training' is a great little stand-alone workout too! Trying it on my friends had them really struggling. Shaun T does weights PLUS some cardio too! A great approach and found to burn extra calories and torch fat!!!
My only little gripe with this one is that there is no option on where to fit it in on the 'Insanity' workout guide. As such, I generally pop it into a spare week somewhere, either after the programme has finished, or before starting a new 60 day scheme.....
Whatever you do, enjoy it and have fun!!!
Excellent workouts and, as usual, Shaun T is on point to keep you motivated.
