This one will fit ear of any lover of the raw, mighty sound of TONY WILLIAMS LIFETIME or COUNT'S ROCK BAND by Steve Marcus, mixed with a bit of a spirit of post-Coltrane music. First 2 tracks (very acid version of "Gypsy Queen" - hardly similar to version by Szabo or Santana) are a nice jams, where Steve and Larry go crazy with their solos (especially the latter). 3rd is a beautiful 20-minutes, spiritual peace, that reminds me of early ALICE COLTRANE and PHAROAH SANDERS solo recordings and a bit of "My Goal's Beyond" by JOHN MCLAUGHLIN.
Note for casual jazz fans - it's not typical 70's Coryell's recording. You won't find there keyboards and anything similar to Larry's ELEVENTH HOUSE or other fusion groups. As I said, it's much more raw and spiritual.
The ACE RECORDS 2013 version is a nice threat - cheap, clean, booklet with short essay, photos and full credits.
