Very good product at very affordable price. My only objection is the clear glass cover does not diffuse the individual LEDs. However I solved this by taking the cover off and sand-papering the inside and outside of the transparent cover. Very good results and very economical to run.

It makes noises you won't be able to make a video with it. :( I was changing batteries and it's not helping. :(

A simplified version of the MCOPLUS MRF18 Ring flash unit.
This unit has a lower guide number of 15 compared to 18 of the MRF18 unit and does not have the CTO 3200K conversion filter.
It performs exactly like the MRF18 having the ring light function, full ring flash, and left and right independent modes.
Ideal for indoor photography as the unit will struggle to overcome ambient daylight as the pulse duration of 1/100 second would allow too much ambient light to register on the image. Compared to electronic flash units with guide numbers of 50 plus and exposure times of 1/1000 to 1/4000 second the unit has severe restrictions when trying to emulate such devices. Colour temperature is best set by performing a manual white balance with the ring light turned on and I would recommend that you use the device in ring light mode where you can see on screen the light pattern and set the exposure manually.
Typical working distance would be 15 to 30cms giving 4000lux at this distance or 1/100, F5 @ ISO 100
Remove the batteries after use as the unit appears to stay in some standby mode even when turned off and the batteries will fully deplete in a short period of time and cheaper batteries may leak.
The head rotates easily around the ring of the adaptor, a small elastic band in the groove is needed to prevent this..

I used the fc 100 recently for a wedding where it struggled with more than two in a group but that's not what this product is for,I have used it for portraiture, macro, light painting, and even for foreground fill on landscapes and for the price you just can't complain ! Delivery was prompt and communication from the supplier was excellent . I recommend this product and if you use it for what it was intended it will satisfy your needs ,definitely an excellent first ring flash!

At this price you can't go wrong the package contains everything you need. If your need a Macro flash gun for medium/occasional use this is the one.
