Simple Upgrade Game
on 26 June 2015
The graphics are quite nice but it's a very run of the mill upgrade game. You get cash to upgrade depending on how far you travel. You upgrade you travel further and get more cash, purchase more upgrades for the vehicle until you purchase a new vehicle that represents a fairly big jump in performance again. Rinse repeat until the game is over.
Player input does effect how far you can go, but the impact is fairly limited as long as you keep the accelerator button down. I have seen upgrade games that have more input options such as aiming at the enemy too, not here though. To complete the game you do need the final vehicle and most if not all of the upgrades purchased.
While there was a pumpkin mode and some promise of replayability I uninstalled it after completing it.
I feel I should be marking it lower and dislike it more than I do due to its mind numbing simplicity, but I don't. Compared to many other games there is so little thought required getting through it, so you can't really say you've used your brain to work anything out either. A pure time sink that doesn't seem to give you anything else.
