I love Shaun T and have done his Hip Hop abs when I was trying to lose the baby fat, post delivery. It was so much fun and full of dance but breaks so much sweat. Anyway tried T25 now to quickly and effectively lose weight in a comparatively lesser time. This T25 is HARD but when determined anyone can do it. It is definitely easier than his Insanity or Asylum workouts. Would advise those new to fitness to follow Tania in the low intensity variant or its too much hard on your joints. Anyone will be drenched in sweat at the end of 25 minutes and trust me you will never think 25 minutes can do so much to you. It is majorly cardio combined with strength training. I only tried the alpha version till now and mostly stuck to the calendar schedule(did it for 7 weeks though). Could not really achieve double take (2 routines back to back ) on Fridays so always worked out 6 days rather than suggested 5 days. I lost quite a few inches around waist, hips and belly. Arms and legs got toned quite well (no noted inch loss). I was drinking Shakeology as well daily for breakfast and watched every bit of my diet. At the end of 7 weeks my weight loss was very little and was disappointing. This could be me as every body reacts differently and I was told I could have developed more muscle and thus no significant weight loss. However seeing sweat soaked T-shirt was so rewarding and I still love to do this. But to me the workouts and outputs for Tony's 10 minute trainer (with much less knee impact) still makes it top the list better than T25. Involves a lot of jumping (Burpees, jacks, high knee jogs, jump squat and push ups) which is some serious work on the leg and knees. So very important to wear the right training footwear with proper cushioning. The shoes I used to wear for my 10 minute trainer, Chalene's PIYO and hip hop abs did not work for this and gave me a real bad knee pain after 3 weeks. So watchout! Good luck everyone.
I’m a beginner with a low level of fitness, and I don’t have time to get to a gym, so bought this on the recommendation of a friend. It’s OK. I think you need a moderate level fitness to start off with (I can’t do planks or press ups, and can’t manage many squats). There is a modifier doing a slightly easier version of the workout but it’s difficult to see what she does as the camera doesn’t always show her during the more complicated exercises. Unlike me, you also need to have a good degree of rhythm to keep up with some of the moves. I’m at week 3 and my main issue is that I can’t tell where my feet need to be, or the exact position I need to be in during some of the moves - I just go with the flow and hope I see an improvement by week 10...
This product does exactly what it says on the tin (DVD cover). Stick at it and you will be rewarded. The hardest part is hitting your own mental wall, once you break through it the results are amazing. I had a recurring lower back problem for many years (I'm 62 now) now its completely gone. I bought another one for my daughter who was having weight issues now after about a month she has slimmed right down and lost over a stone. I will say this though: Unless you're reasonably fit already, you must follow the modifier to start off with. And that is some serious advice!
Hard work but if your dedicated and eat properly it works. Lost 5lb in week 1. Only other observation is some of the moves require a bit of rhythm which can be more difficult for someone with 2 left feet like myself
I was recommended this DVD by my Brother in Law. He lost 2 stones with this exercise regime and it only takes 25 minutes a day!! If you are struggling with time, this is your ideal choice. I am training for a 10k and I found that the Cardio in this DVD helped strengthen my core and made running much enjoyable. Highly recommend.
The program itself is great, only thing is the packaging I received was ripped.the box itself was ripped. And the folder for allthedvds was ripped and not even attached any more. I have to be honest and say it does not look brand new at all.... So extremely disappointed in the presentation of it given the price.
