Hello Bikini Bottom!

Some of these episodes may be familiar from the other Spongebob dvds, that just have a handful of episodes on them.

Most of these are the usual eleven minutes long, with some exceptions.

Twenty two minute long ones are:

Frozen Face off.
A Squarepants family vacation.
Ghoul fools.
It's a spongebob christmas!
Hello Bikini Bottom!

There's the usual type of plots for the show, although the balance of those is a bit slanted this time around in favour of Krusty Krab/Plankton stories.

A Squarepants family vacation is an overlong and not that funny episode, but the rest of the season is of a high quality. Especially 'It's a Spongebob christmas!' which is done in stopmotion rather than the usual style, and features the long overdue and welcome return of Patchy the Pirate.

The dvd has no subtitles.

The only language it comes in is English.

And there are no extras.

There's some surprisingly black humour in 'Are you happy now?' which parents might have to explain.

So that does let it down as a product ever so slightly, hence the four stars. But it's still a good box set all in all, with lots of fun for Spongebob fans. Of all ages.

This is really sad that my 6-year-old kid was able to download this whole series of SponBob Squarepants without our knowledge whatsoever. He was all along in the lounge and managed to get the TV on and just by a simple click of a button download the whole series, which has cost us in excess of £50. This is not good as Amazon should be asking for a key or something so that little kids like my son (especially children under the age of 12) don't download anything on their own as they are not aware of the monetary value of things. They see things on the TV which they like and will keep accidentally purchasing them if there are no pins or keys which they have to input. This is a failure by Amazon and should be addressed immediately as there will millions of kids across UK watching Amazon series and movies in the school holidays and I think Amazon have tricked my little 6-year-old boy into purchasing this product as he was not asked for a pin or a key when he purchased the product. A child should not be allowed to buy anything online without screening. Amazon should take full responsibility of this error in their system and should take appropriate measures so that other kids don't fall into this trap. (Please note the parental control only goes down to PG and anything with U rating can still be downloaded by kids even with parental control, which is pathetic as only smaller kids will purchase these product without knowing. I personally feel that Amazon are targeting these under 10 year old kids to sell their products, which is really sad to see).

I personally cannot stand Sponge Bob but it's a hit with everybody else in the household - little ones, bigger ones, adults, males and females, so clearly deserves 5 * . My son, daughter and niece watch it constantly and never seem to tire of it!

Spongebob is my favourite kids animation, along with Scooby Doo. I ordered this boxset on Wednesday and was shocked to find it came on Friday, even though it stated Saturday. 😉 I have only watched a few (great) episodes and with spongebob you know to expect hilarious, yet weird episodes!! I give this 5 stars as the cover design, discs, and episodes make this a terrific boxset.
