This certainly isn't one of wwe's worst ever, but there's just nothing to get excited about here.
The show kicks of with HHH waffling on and talking to Paul Heyman and CURTIS AXEL. This should've been on raw not an event, then this leads to Axel defending his i.c. title against KOFI KINGSTON. it'd a very good opener, lasting a fair while, getting hopes up for more good stuff,if only.
AJ LEE defends her title in a four way against BRIE BELLA,NATALYA and NAOMI. It's pretty good, but nothing great.
ROB VAN DAM takes on ALBERTO DEL RIO FOR DEL RIO's heavyweight title. Some nice moments, but doesn't quite satisfy.
MIZ takes on FANDANGO. No titles here and the match is very much a filler.
C.M. PUNK vs CURTIS AXEL and if he beats him,PAUL HEYMAN. The Axel part is fine, some good moments, but everyone just wants Punk to get his hands on Paul, which he obviously does,or there's no point in this. That part is funny, but a little tainted.
DOLPH ZIGGLER takes on DEAN AMBROSE for the u.s. title. Some great wrestling here, but should have been longer, both wrestlers can really shine if given the chance.
PRIMETIME PLAYERS take on tag champs ROMAN REIGNS and SETH ROLLINS. It's not long enough for my liking, but it's very impressive, both teams look great.
And the main event sees DANIEL BRYAN take on RANDY ORTON for the wwe title which Bryan was cheated out of at Summerslam. This does have some really impressive moments, but it never quite becomes the match these 2 are certain to give us at some point. Just as the match is becoming very enjoyable, the end comes quite suddenly and is little surprising, considering the storyline. That is the end of the event though,it's the next night on raw where things take a twist.
So it's a watchable event, with some nice moments, but considering all title are on the line, surprisingly little really happens.
Night of champions is also night of disappointments.
