Great starter tablet.

Excellent value as Amazon had £20 off when purchased. Arrived nicely packaged (as usual forAmazon) and it works well straight out of the box.
Rather too many pre-installed apps for my liking which cannot be removed. Samsung seems to want to control the user. Don't bother with their Kies and Kies Air and Kies +. They are a nightmare to control and seem to transfer data spasmodically and not always do what you want to. Quite a problem to navigate if something needs cleaning out and took me ages to register the SD card so it functioned for storage.
Got there in the end but reckon a 3G tablet would have been the best way to go and would have bought the Nexus has it got an SD slot for extra storage as during the play I had with one at PC World, it seemed much clearer and responsive. It does well as a tablet for the technically challenged (like me) but overall I'm happy with it as a start off model. May pass it on when I've learned all the functions and go for something a little larger.
Tip : Stay away from the e-Bay cheapies. I've tried three and they all had to be returned within a few days. You seem to get what you pay for and some of the junk that's coming out of China looks the part, are all singing and all dancing BUT stick to a big brand is my advice.
